Water Billing Rate Increase
𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 January 1, 2023
The Public Utilities Board approved revised rates for the Elton Utility and third reading of the Water & Wastewater By-Law was given on June 9, 2022.
The revised rates for 2023 are as follows:
Service Charge: $20.94
Water (per 1000 gallons): $17.30
Minimum Monthly Charge without sewer: $72.84
Wastewater (per 1000 gallons): $6.28
Minimum Quarterly charge with sewer: $91.68
Forrest Bulk: $18.50 per 1000 gallons.

Pedestrians on Rural Roads:
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀:
* In areas without sidewalks, pedestrians should always walk on the left side of the road facing traffic.
* Riders, on bikes or horses, are considered vehicles and should always travel single file on the right side of the road with traffic.
* Drivers, please be courteous. Slow down and only pass other road users when there is no oncoming traffic.
